NBL1 Coaching in 2022
KAYE-LEE & COREY TO COACH NBL1 CENTRAL PROGRAMS
The West Adelaide Bearcats are pleased to announce the appointment of Kay-Lee Stuart and Corey Maclean as the club's NBL1 Head Coaches for 2022.
The club welcomes Kaye-Lee back "home". Already a member of the Honour Roll in the Club’s Hall of Fame, Kaye-Lee (nee Elsdon) started at West Adelaide at five years of age and ended up a three-time senior Championship player with the club (in 1987, 1992 and 1993). A South Australian State and Australian junior captain, Kaye-Lee was the first woman to play 200 WNBL games (ending her playing career with 226). More recently a SA High Performance coach at U16, U18 and U20 levels, Kaye-Lee is also part of the Australian U16 girls program.
Corey returns to lead the Men's program for a sixth year. Also a West junior, Corey is a two-time Championship coach, including with West in 2017, the title which famously broke a 21-year drought for the club’s Men’s program.
We look forward to Kaye-Lee and Corey hanging more banners in the club rafters!
